Summer 2011 - This is a brand new blog for anyone interested in gardening in Uinta County, Wyoming. The Master Gardeners are the blog authors, but everyone in the community is invited to participate by following the blog, subscribing to posts by e-mail and making comments on the posts. Master Gardener Classes

Master Gardener classes are starting up soon.  Whether you're a beginner or a veteran, these classes are packed with information to help you in your gardening pursuits.  The cost of the program is $75.00, and includes training classes and the Master Gardener Handbook.

Classes are from 6-8:30 p.m.
Workshops are on Saturdays during the day

Class 1 - Oct. 12: Introduction, Botany Basics, Soils & Fertilizers
Class 2 - Nov. 16: Basic Entomology, Plant Diseases, Diagnosing Plant Problems
Class 3 - Dec. 14: Herbaceous Ornamentals, Woody Plants, Lawns
Class 4 - Jan. 18: Interior Plants, Vegetables, Berry Crops/Fruit Trees
Class 5 - Feb. 15: Integrated Pest Management, Understanding Pesticides, Weed Management
Class 6 - Mar. 7: Pruning, Plant Identification, Plant Propagation
Class 7 - Apr. 11: Landscape Design, Vertebrate Pest Management
Class 8 - May 9: Recap and Graduation
Workshop 1 - May 12
Workshop 2 - May 19

Workshops include hands-on activities and training by specialists from the University of Wyoming
